I was recently given an award by the New Jersey Association of Realtors – their Circle of Excellence Award, which is based on an agent’s sales performance for the year. This was my first year as a Platinum winner – the highest level.
As everyone knows, 2021 was a seller’s market and it’s obviously easier to sell homes when there are more buyers than there are homes for sale. However, this sales award comprises both an agent’s listings as well as their sales as a buyer’s agent, which is far more challenging in a market with little inventory. The year was non-stop bids, with agents constantly drawing up contracts with only a small fraction of them going on to close.
In this regard, the fact that our Walkable Suburb Team was a Platinum winner is a true accomplishment. And since there are so many facets of a home sale, I would like to take a minute to recognize my team members as well as some of the other people within the “circle” of this award.
Oksana Shevchuk-Shah is our Walkable Suburb Team's agent dedicated to buyers. She is always intrepid, using her amazing abilities to understand exactly what the buyer is looking for, finding it, and then, over and over, helping them win the bid! Her intuition and grit came in especially handy in a year when every single house received multiple offers.
Our office assistant, Jodi Aishton, keeps every transaction running smoothly. She is super organized and makes sure all contract dates are met and no deadline is forgotten. Her superpowers keep the process of home buying and selling efficient, orderly, and far less stressful.
I have three great stagers I work with, depending on the scale of the project. The photographers, floor plan makers, organizers, and even the junk haulers are the people that make magic happen in a home, and I consider them an integral part of our team.
I also rely heavily on my go-to army of professionals that helps clients see their dreams come true – the architects, contractors, plumbers, electricians, designers, landscaping pros, and on and on. After over 20 years selling homes, I have a solid, reliable network of folks who can consult, plan, and execute anything. My clients consider me an ongoing source of support long after the sale, and these people are why.
I am truly grateful to receive such a prestigious award this year. But I am even more grateful to all the people with whom I have had the honor of working. These are the people who allow me to show up for my clients with solid information and help them make smart choices.
